Proposed 2008 Fare Hike
![]()
I have just received notification from RTD regarding a proposed fare hike. According to Bruce Abel, RTD Assistant General Manger, adjustments to RTD's fare structure have been proposed for January 2008 due to a number of factors that have significantly impacted RTD's revenues and expenditures. Among the factors having the greatest impact are shortfalls in sales tax growth, increasing demands for American Disabilities Act service and increasing fuel costs. The RTD Board of Directors has directed staff to conduct a public input process regarding the proposed changes in RTD's fare structure.
You can comment on RTD's proposed fare changes by:
- Attending one of the public hearings. You can access the list by clicking here.
- Emailing our comments to farecomments@RTD-Denver.com
- Faxing your comments to 303.299.2008
All comments must be received by Friday, August 31, 2007 to be included in the summary of public input to be provided to the RTD Board.
Please share this information with anyone you think may be interested.

Speed Trailer has arrived at Stapleton
Speeding in our neighborhoods has become a concern of some residents. The Master Association and the Stapleton Area Transportation Management Association have teamed up and purchased a Speed trailer that will alert drivers if they are traveling over the speed limit.
There have had numerous requests to assist with traffic that is going too fast. This speed trailer will help slow traffic down. It is moveable and will be placed in strategic locations around Stapleton. If you want to request a location for the speed trailer, click on About Us to contact us and let us know where you would like to have the speed trailer placed.
The speed trailer will collect data and we can work with the police to assist in tracking traffic violators.
